AVH Announces New Litigation and Regulatory Practice, Expansion of DC Office

AVH today announced it has launched an expanded Litigation and Regulatory Practice that will be co-chaired by new DC partner Behnam Dayanim and veteran litigator Thomas Rohback. The firm also announced the further expansion of its DC office with the relocation of antitrust and litigation partner Michael Keeley from the firm's New York City office, and the hiring of associate Rachel Adcox from the U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division.

Mr. Dayanim joins the firm from Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker LLP, where he co-chaired that firm's Privacy and Information Security and Advertising practices. The new practice will guide clients through internal investigations, voluntary or directed disclosures to government agencies, agency investigations and, where required, litigation.

With its expanded capabilities, the firm is able to offer counsel across a number of new regulatory areas, including advertising and marketing, data privacy, export controls and sanctions, gaming and electronic payments. AVH lawyers have experience dealing with a number of government agencies, including the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission Bureaus of Competition and Consumer Protection, the Food and Drug Administration, the Commerce Department and its Bureau of Industry and Security, the Office of Foreign Assets Control, the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls and state attorneys general.
