AV&H Wins Antitrust Clearance for Movie Gallery's Acquisition of Hollywood Video

AV&H acted as antitrust counsel to Movie Gallery in its successful acquisition of Hollywood Entertainment.  Our engagement included representation of Movie Gallery in avoiding the issuance of a Second Request from the Federal Trade Commission and in presenting arguments and evidence to the FTC in connection with its investigation of a rival bid from Blockbuster which was abandoned by Blockbuster once it became clear that the FTC intended to commence litigation to enjoin Blockbuster.
